We went to Sunday School for the kids, Bible Study for us, then church for us all. Hubby had to go to work after church, but the kids and I had a nice picnic out by the creek. We took out a big quilt and the 4 of us had a great time, just watching the chipmunks hop on the rocks, the wrens flying back & forth to the feeder, observing insects and watching the clouds float by. Talk about relaxing! And God blessed us with another beautiful day, yet again. Thank you, Lord!
Tonight's dinner is passed down from my Dad. We grilled out 'Pop Pop burgers' and served them up with some steamed broccoli. Pop Pop Burgers are made as follows, with no exact measurements:
1 1/2 lbs ground sirloin Approximately 1/2 cup bread crumbs Approximately 1/2 cup diced onions Approximately 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 egg salt, pepper
Mix and form into patties. Grill!
What do you like on your burgers? Anything different like bean sprouts, won ton noodles, french fries? We're pretty traditional here, cheese, ketchup, mayo or BBQ sauce.
We do not watch television in our home, but the kids do get to watch some DVD's here and there.
